Reid is an ultrarunner from Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, Canada. He grew up chasing his big brother around on his bike. He started as swimmer and cross country runner, and then spent 5 years racing for Triathlon Canada. As an elite triathlete he raced throughout North and South America.

In 2017, Reid walked away from the sport of triathlon completely. He was lost and unsure of what to do next. For two years he began increasing his running mileage and began exploring the trails near his house. One day he woke up and decided to run a marathon for fun. Reid hasn’t looked back since.

Reid has always been someone who fully immerses themselves into whatever they are doing. 50k on the trails did not scare me, 50 miles seemed far too easy, but 100 miles through the mountains seemed unachievable. I signed up for the Sinister 7 100 miler in Crownest Pass, Alberta in 2019, and was one of only 69 finishers. I finished off the race in 6th but had a lot more to give, so I signed up for another 100 miler closer to home. The Foxtail 100 miler took place on an old rail bed trail in Dundas, Ontario. I experience stomach issues, throwing up 25 times, and ultimately earned my second 100 miler belt buckle with a 2nd place finish.

Pursuing the human limits is what gets me out of bed in the morning. My goals are about going further, faster and constantly evolving into a stronger version of myself. I embody the same pillars in my coaching.
